Mr. Alois Holiš, grandfather of the current owner of the company, establishes a tailor's workshop.

The very foundation of the workshop was preceded by a successfully passed journeyman's exam in tailoring. Mr. Holiš learned the art of editing in Berlin. The 1930s were interwoven with elegance, and Mr. Holiš's newly established company immediately specialized in tailor-made clothing. After bright years of production, the company no longer develops due to the unfavorable political situation, and in 1972 the company's founder died.

In 1990, the company JANEK was established, which since the beginning of its activity has focused on the production of luxury ready-to-wear shirts, machine embroidery and textiles for gastronomy.

A new era of company life is beginning

The current owner, Mr. Alois Holiš, joins the company. The "Made-to-Measure shirts" project was launched in 2003, and the company is gradually moving from the production of ready-to-wear shirts to tailor-made shirts. Four years later, the project is expanded with "Made-to-order blouses". In 2005, Janek opens his first store in Prague. Janek is responding to the growing demand for tailor-made shirts by expanding production capacities and in 2008 starts production in Loštice in the Olomouc Region.

Modernization and reconstruction of the headquarters

In order to modernize and comprehensively concept the production, an extensive reconstruction of the company's headquarters in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm was carried out in 2011 and 2012.

New showroom and new logo

In the spring of 2014, we opened a new showroom directly at the company's headquarters, and the current company logo was also born. Janek is constantly improving the quality of the shirts and one of the other elements of quality is the a closed armhole.

Conquered the goal of million produced shirts

In 2015, Janek celebrates millionth shirt. Subsequent years are marked by construction. In 2017, the Prague store was renovated and in 2018, the training center was completed, which is directly adjacent to the company's headquarters.
